The top-line goal for this project is to help allocate good quality food to those who would otherwise not have access to it through the distribution of ration packets.
Improve the quality of life for our beneficiaries by allowing them to taste good food while also helping ensure they have the basic necessities needed.
The project started with the goal of helping improve the quality of life for our beneficiaries by allowing them to taste good food while also helping ensure they have the basic necessities needed for a person and their family to survive.
The beneficiaries for this project are selected after careful consideration and vigorous checks to ensure that the people selected are those who are truly needy and deserving of the ration packets. Our officers vigilantly go through every application received, which average around 1800 to 2000 a month, the application that pass the first screening, are then physically checked through a home visit. These people come from our neighboring communities and settlements.
The ration packets are made as such that they ensure 3 healthy and sufficient meals for the entire family of the receiver in a month. With the constant worsening of the economy, prices of the most basic of things have also started to become unattainable for many, pushing more people below the poverty line, while leaving the others struggling to maintain their lifestyle and like everyone else, our organization and its goals are also struggling to hold onto the standards we have built and wish to ensure.
We now believe it of utmost importance to get funding to not only maintain the quality of our ration packets but also increase the number of packets distributed so that more people can be helped.
Besides providing food in a dignified manner we also send our freshly cooked food to the nearest charity hospitals (for patients & attendants), shelter home and a school of under privileged girls.
Meals Served in 2023.
A very important aspect of this project lies within the link we create with our vocational class project, people who qualify for the ration packets also get one able family member enrolled, free of cost, into our vocational program where they learn a new skill in the duration of 3 months, this then helps them generate further income and improves the families future prospects as a whole, once their member graduates from our vocational course and secures a job, the family is taken off the list for the ration packets and the empty spot is given to another family in need. The goal of our project has always been to help equip our beneficiaries with long lasting progress, ration packets provide instant / immediate relief but cannot be a source of long-term dependency.
